Erick Bruckner Iriarte

Erick came to RCN from Peru at 16 with only basic English, attending a preparatory summer course before his two years at the college just to be ready. He describes his first weeks as disbelief, he kept thinking he couldn't believe he was there. He became a Davis UWC Scholar and has since spoken publicly about using the platform RCN gave him to build opportunities for communities in Latin America. His story doesn't have a single obvious headline, but that's partly the point. He is one of the clearer examples of who RCN's scholarship model is built for: someone for whom an international education would have been out of reach, and who took that seriously.
