Erick Bruckner Iriarte

Erick came to RCN at 16 from Peru with only a basic grasp of English, attending a summer course before his two years at the college just to prepare. He describes his arrival as disbelief — he kept thinking, "I can't believe I am here." During his second year, that disbelief turned into drive. He became a Davis UWC Scholar and has spoken publicly about using his RCN experience to give back to communities in Latin America. His story is one of the clearest examples of what RCN's scholarship model is designed to do: take someone from a background where an international education would have been unthinkable, and give them the platform to build something with it.
